Spent 3 days and 2 nights camping on Fraser. Our guide, Jonesy, was the most educational, hilarious, fun, personable, HUMAN tour guide Ive had. I honestly must say he was the highlight of my entire East Coast Aus backpacking trip. He gave us so much history of Fraser, the aboriginal people, local animals & plants, geography, Australian history...it was a great experience. For those who are crying about sleeping in a TENT on a beautiful island...*eye roll*. Welcome to the great outdoors! If sleeping in a tent without pillows and eating simple, travel friendly food is not comfortable for you, consider visiting a 5 star hotel and experiencing zero culture or adventure. This was an amazing, educational tour full of laughing, swimming, meeting great people and getting out of your comfort zone. Thank you Jonesy, you are the highlight of so many peoples trips. A great three days on Fraser! Would recommend a hundred times over.
I stayed 3 days and 2 night in Fraser Island. It's amazing but the experience with this tour operator was awful and embarrassing. We start our tour on Saturday in a car with 8 people but the seats in the back are too narrow.Every lunch was so bad I think that in jail or during a war you can eat more. Just half tomato and a piece of bread each. The dinner were very poor too with just some very bad meat. We slept in a tent without pillows and mattress!!! On the day 3 we completely didn't do nothing, I don't understand why they promote the 3 days tour!!!The tour guide was very rude and unpolite. He continued to make fun of me and he had humiliated me in front of all other people. One of the worst people that I've ever known. We spent 500 $ to have nothing, this tour operator just cheat you. The worst quality price ratio that I've ever found.
It was an incredible experience. From the beginning the staff was very profesionnal. We started with a preview training in rainbow beach with a california guy that teached us the best way to ride on the sand. They gave us all the freedom that we ask for (which seems pretty dificult to find in this area); flexible timetable, freedom to move all around the reachable points of the island and fair with us with all the details of a car rent. The big boss told us the best spot to go, he was kind and nice with us.We will repeat for sure! See you in december!!The 3 canarian guys

Thankyou to merv and the gang for a wonderful experience. Myself and my family were sorted out with 4WD's, camping equipment, amazing advice and the best intinery we could have asked for! We wouldn't have seen half as much as we did in 3 days if it wasn't for you guys so Thankyou again ! Highly recommend :)
